First Commission Ended

"Let me put you down for a second."

Kylo said, then put me down after reaching the surface. He stretched his hips and arms after he put me down.

"What time is it?" I asked.

He grabs his phone from his pocket and looks at the phone. "It's already 1:45 AM."

So it's almost 2 hours when I get caught.

"Now that we're out of danger."

"What?"

"The gun…"

After he said we're out of danger, the gun he's holding dissolved like dust.

"Oh. That's my ability. I can produce any object out of thin air." He demonstrates how his ability works. It was like a dust that combined in one place. Doing that, a gun suddenly appeared and– "I can make this appear and–" like dust too, it dissolves. "Disappear."

"Wow, that's amazing…"

"Since I'm telling you this, I should tell you why your ability didn't work."

I was shocked when I heard that. "You know the reason?"

"Yeah. But first, promise me to don't tell anyone about what I'm going to tell you."

"Okay."

"Good. Then, here's why you can't use your ability–" He paused a little, "because there's a condition."

"Condition?"

"Yea. For example, my ability," He demonstrates his ability again. "I can only create this firearm by knowing what their materials are, how they are made, and how it works. I can't create the things I don't know how the object produces."

"It means your ability has a condition as well."

"You should find the condition for your ability."

We exited the park and continued walking to the street. In those walks, he assists me to walk, carrying my arm and dragging me. Every step I take, every time I move my feet, feels like a thorn.

As we walked through district to district, the crowd were looking at us.

While walking, a cop called us.

"What's the matter, officer?" Kylo asked.

"That guy… is he okay?"

"Yea… it's just… he's just wasted from drinking."

"Oh, he's drunk?"

"Yes, officer."

"Hhmm… you seem not drunk."

"Officer, he just called me to pick him up."

"Is that so… hmm? This guy seems to be quiet?"

The cop stared at me and that made me nervous.

I look at Kylo to know what I should do. But when I look at him, he's facing forward while his eyes are staring at me.

Knowing that Kylo can't help me, I mustered some courage and said, "Ooohhh… haaa…? weeerrr aarrr da beeeerrss! Let's drrrink mor!!" I tried to act drunk and manage to vomit. "blurgh!"

"Woah there. He seems to drink a lot. Then, sorry for the bother, you guys can go now."

Luckily it works and we manage to pass through.

We continued walking until we entered our city.

Every stop we take, every cop notices us. But we're still managing to act our way out.

We still continue walking, carrying me, slowly walking our way back while I endure the pain. Until we've reached it.

We're already on the outside of the hotel, the back entrance.

"Finally, we're here." Kylo said, then looked at me, "Hey, are you still good?"

"...yea…"

After asking me, we went inside.

"Kylo? What happened?!"

The receptionist asked.

"Just finished our commission. Help me carry him."

"Right."

The receptionist carried my other arm to help out.

"Lara, I will just help them for a second."

"I understand, just leave the front desk to me."

"I appreciate it."

After the receptionist asked the second receptionist, we headed and rode the elevator. After clicking a button for the 99th floor, where the staff lodgings are. So we waited as we went up.

While on the elevator waiting, the receptionist asked, "So… what happened?"

"Few hours ago, we're out for an investigation. While on those time, we found the suspect and followed him–"

Huh? Investigation?

"And at that time we didn't know that there were others. So they noticed us and attacked. As you can see, my partner got beat up."

Huh?? Why did Kylo lie?

"Looks like this guy had a rough night." The receptionist said while looking at me.

[Ting!]

"We're already here."

As soon, Kylo said that, we exited the elevator and continued walking to the girl's side of the floor.

Knowing that we're on this side, I became confused and asked, "Huh? Where are we going?"

"To the healer." Kylo replied.

"Healer…?"

Suddenly, we stopped walking in front of some door. And Kylo knocks it.

Just standing and looking at the door. I recognize whose room it is. It was Elin's room.

"Yes?"

The waiting didn't last long, when Elin's roommate opened the door.

"Is Miss Elin there?"

After Kylo asked that, Elin's roommate looked at me.

"...hello…" I said.

After looking at me and saying, "Please wait a second." then closed the door.

We waited a few seconds, then finally the door opened once again. But this time Elin is the one opened.

While rubbing her own eyes, she asks, "So, where's the patient?"

"Here."

After Kylo pointed at me, Elin looked at me for a few seconds.

"..."

"..."

She's been looking at me like she's thinking twice. If I remember, she's angry earlier at the canteen, right? Don't tell me she's not going to treat me.

That's what I thought, but luckily that was not the case as she said, "Come in." and let us in.

After we went inside, they laid me on a nearby bed there.

Looking around at Elin's roommate, they seem to be asleep already and just woken up because of us.

Elin sat down beside the bed I was on and said, "Show me the wounds." it said in a cold way.

Luckily, I recovered a little strength to take off the cloth on the wound in my leg. I showed too, the small slices I got in my body, so it can be healed too.

"Is that all?" She asked me.

"Yes."

"Then let's start."

Elin started healing me. Her roommates were watching us as she heals me up.

It's really still surprising how her healing ability works. She heals my wounds from my leg to small cuts. The wounds closed like it never got cut at all.

"Done." She said.

I'm fully healed now. Except my energy or strength didn't heal.

"Can you walk now?" Kylo asked me.

I tried moving, but, "I still feel weak."

"Sorry, my ability just can only heal wounds. It cannot take your blood or strength back." Elin said.

"Then just stay here and take a rest. I will just report to boss by myself." Kylo said to me.

"Okay."

Then Kylo left the room.

After he left, I looked at Elin.

"Elin."

"..." She ignored me.

"Um… thank you for healing me and… sorry for what I did yesterday."

"Yesterday?... Do you mean, a year ago?..."

Finally, she answered me. But… yesterday?... Oh… right… I forgot, it's already midnight. Means, it's already a new day.

"Ah. Yea…" I said.

She sighed. "Fine, I will accept your apology."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I know that you didn't mean to doubt my dad and Big sis Jessica."

"Why did you just let that over?"

"Because I know you're just new here. I know the feeling of thinking of others without knowing them at all. I know the feeling of doubt to trust strangers that you just met. I'm willing to forgive, just so we can build a good friendship to understand each other so that we can fully trust each other. But still don't just doubt people without knowing them."

"Yeah, I promise."

"Don't promise to me, promise it to yourself."

"Yea."

"Good. Now then just sleep, take some rest and replenish your strength."

"But what about the owner of this bed?"

"The two of us will just share my bed."

"But so… isn't that cramped?"

"Don't underestimate us girls, we can sleep, even all of us here sleep in the same bed."

"Sorry for this, then I will take your offer."

"Then we're going to sleep now too. Goodnight."

After saying goodnight, Elin turns off the lights and both of them lie down to Elin's bed to sleep, and her roommates as well to their own bed.

"I…I'm glad…that Elin and I…made up…" I mumble.

Because of how weak I am right now, just a few seconds after the lights turned off, I fell asleep that fast.
