"Sir I have all the maps that I could find in the castle," said Alfred. Kane wanted to know more about the world and its surroundings so he decided to add as much as he could to his map function. After taking the maps from Alfred's hands he scanned them into his world map. It showed many of the continents important places including other kingdoms and empires. It had many other interesting things as well. Kane also had Alfred get him as many books about the world that he could find so Kane could learn more about this place. This would also help him prepare for the future.
After his little school session, Kane decided to check out his kingdom. He had already placed his men throughout the place to make sure he had control. He would also address the citizens later today about the future and his plans. He was their new king after all and he needed to make sure they knew that. He made sure to bring food and other things to hand out to the people. He also gifted them some of the things that he got from the bandit's stashes. He ordered his men to make the people feel safe and fix any damages that they made during the battle. He also made sure his men were not rowdy so they would not scare the citizens.
Things were currently going smoothly and Kane was happy with his men's plans as it would not have been as easy to integrate his men into the kingdom without them. He was glad to have left a group inside the kingdom as they had spread the rumor of him and his army and how they would make the kingdom better. It also helped to have a lot of citizens join him before the battle. After all, people knew that they could count on him. One of the biggest helpers was Jack Kelpstone. He was a popular inn owner who also had the best bar in town. He hated the king and was the main source of all info in the kingdom so he found out about the Crimson Crusaders pretty easily. He volunteered to help them recruit people and help them plan many other things as well. He even convinced the people who went to his tavern that the Crimson Crusaders were the saviors of the kingdom and would take down the tyrannical king and make their lives better. Kane was grateful to this man and would make sure to reward him later.
Kane had no problem taking full control of the kingdom but the only problem now was that the kingdom was not very developed, did not have a strong military, and not many people lived here. He could not produce much and the only export they had was grain and wheat from farming and all the things from the surrounding forest. He need to strengthen it fast before other kingdoms or groups learned of its state and decided to take it for themselves. Kane also lost many men and needed more forces. He was lucky that the wall was insanely big as that was the only defense he had. He had a lot to do.
"If I am going to look around my new territory it's best to have some guards," Kane said to himself. He could not spare many men but luckily he had the perfect thing. His D-rank honor guard vouchers. Now he just needed to think of who to summon. People from his world or some from this world. He was originally going to summon some Romans to add to his legion but after reading some of the books found in the castle's library he had a new idea. He had learned about some of this continent's history and one group had some pretty great warriors that would make good honor guards. The library did not have much information about the world in general but it was enough. Kane had unlocked some of the places other races and troops after reading about them. Before this, he only had the basic beginners that the system gave him.
"System, please summon 4 D-rank Kazaki Nomads and spend 1200 system points to get them 4 ceremonial naginata's and silver and crimson Mongol heavy cavalry warrior armor"
Kazaki were a strong group of wandering raiders who were famous for their fighting prowess and horse riding skills. They were like his world's Mongols but were born with strange black marks on their bodies. They looked like tribal tattoos. The group was all killed off and not seen again until Kane summoned his own. He would make his own Mongol army but use these warriors instead as they were stronger. He gave them armor and weapons that would make them look like Kane's honor guards. He would also have some men get then some bows and scimitars that weren't from the system shop. Also, give them some horses as they fought best as cavalry.
[Kazaki Nomad successful summoned. 1,200 points used for gear. 11,000 left.]
Kane looked at the tall tan men in front of him. They were about 6 feet or above and had long black hair. The black markings for all over them and it even reached their faces. They looked extremely fit and ferocious. Kane was very happy with his choice. They even had extra defense due to being of the honor guard profession. Kane would probably add a shield to their arsenal as well so they could protect him from things like arrows.
"We serve the Lord! No man or beast will stand in our way! We will fight and protect our lord!" the warriors yelled. Kane was smiling at this and Alfred nodded.
"Looks like its time to see my new territory and see what we can do to make it better. After all, it's under new management" said Kane. He beckoned for Alfred and his new honor guard to follow him. He had placed the carriage he received from the system in front of the castle and had horses and a driver brought to it.
"Let's go, driver!" Kane said to the man driving the carriage. They set off down the road to the main part of the town and kingdom. Time to give this kingdom a surprise inspection.
