"Sir what is our plan?" asked Jag. "It will be hard to enter the camp." Kane looked at the camp. It was huge. There were many tents covering the vast plains. They did not have any buildings and only lived in their animal hide tents. "Hogar do you think you can enter the camp without being noticed?" asked Kane. The orc nodded and said, "As long as I don't run into any of my old tribe I should be fine."
"Ok, then I would like you to enter the area and see what you can tell about the number of orcs and the amount of food they have. Also, let me know where they store it. The rest of you hide around the premise and see if you can find any info like the quality of equipment, weaknesses, relations between tribes, and so on. I want 5 men including you Jag to come with me. We will scout out the tribe as well until Hogar comes back with the info. Looks like we won't just be scouting today. Oh, and 2 men go and find if they keep any horeses. If so prepare to steal them."
Kane gave his plan to his men before leaving. He decided that instead of just scouting and leaving without being noticed he would cripple their supplies. Also if they had no food they would have to hunt in his forest. He could use guerilla warfare to weaken their numbers. He also hoped to see friction between some of the tribes so he could see if he could recruit them beforehand. Hogar could help him with this later.
He and some men went to wait outside the tribe. He let Hogar know where he would be so when the orc got the info that Kane wanted he could return to tell him. Kane would then lead his men to that area to destroy the food stocks and then escape on horseback. Jag and some other troops would stay behind and sneak away after Kane leader the other orcs away. They could bring back their mounts and meet up with Kane back at the kingdom.
"It smells like shit," said one of the crusaders behind Kane. He had brought 3 crusaders and 2 Romans. Hopefully, he would leave the orc tribe with all these men intact. This mission was tricky and risky. He would use his fire magic to light as many tents as possible on fire while escaping. Hopefully, this will cause enough chaos to escape the camp without any casualties. Kane and company would be safe when they got to the forest. They knew the area well and Kane had even marked an escape route using his system map.
It had been 15 minutes and Kane finally saw Hogar heading toward him. Kane let out a sigh of relief at the sight of him. When Hogar arrived Kane asked what the orcs finding were. "I learned they have finally taken over the rest of the orc tribes. They now number over 3000." Hogar's news already was not good and made Kane frown. "A lot of the tribes have problems with each other but I do not know the specifics. Most have fights but it never leads to anything as they are always put down by the tribe leaders. I found where the food was stored and it is a lot. The big group of tents over there is where all the food is" Hogar said while pointing to an area in the tribe.
Kane was pleased with this news at least. He could set fire to the group of tents with the food. He may also be able to have some of the orcs side with him at a later date. Hopefully, some of the others got the specifics as well as more info.
"Well let's go start a barbecue then," said Kane. He and the other snuck into the camp and headed to the storage area. Tonight the orc tribe would have fireworks and burned meat.
When they arrived at the tents they saw 4 guards. Hogar would go over to them to distract them. Kane and 3 soldiers would use their bows to shoot the orcs and then all of them would start pouring oil over all the tents.
After killing the guards one of the men found a bunch of alcohol. In fact, the orcs had more alcohol than they did food. Kane had them pour all of it all over the place including other tents in the area. Looks like they really would be leaving with a bang.
"Let's go men," Kane said as they ran off towards the area where the other men would be with the horses. Kane would set fire to the area when they were far enough with a fireball.
"Let there be light."
