Kane finished his plans with the mayor and left for the city. The mayor and a few others would visit at a later date to finish going over certain things and Lo's training.
Kane had a few things he wanted to get done before they would arrive. He had to prepare for war with the Kokar Kingdom and he wanted to name the Iron Rose Kingdoms City.
Now that he had several places under the Iron Rose's domain he decided that he would need to name the city as it would be the capital.
The other locations under the domain were Crazus Town, The hordes camp (still unnamed), Several mines and logging camps, and a couple of Kobold and Crusader camps.
Kane's kingdom had a small civilian population so he would have to wait before making more villages. He also lacked leaders and many other useful things for expansion.
He could make many villages with goblins and even orcs and kobolds as they bred very quickly and he had many of them. But that was not something he wants to do for the time being as it did not serve much of a purpose at the moment.
While Kane was thinking of what to name the capital Jag came riding up to him.
"Sir the man I sent to scout our path has just informed me of many Spark wolves. A pack of about 10 led by an alpha is heading this way fast. We must get off the road or fight. I suggest we try and steer clear of them as Spark wolves are very dangerous and agile and even for us it would be tough to beat them."
Kane frowned at this. He had learned about Spark Wolves. They were faster and deadly. They were magical beasts with the lighting property which made them even more deadly. A pack of 10 could easily kill 20 Romans so Kane knew that they could beat his small group.
"Quick everyone let's ride to the right and get behind the trees!" Kane yelled.
Everyone rushed to get there. They all knew the stakes.
"Sir what about our sent?" asked a Kakari honor guard.
They were nomads of the continent and knew many of the dangers that it contained. The sent of the Spark Wolves was very strong and hiding would probably do nothing as the wolves still could track the group.
"I have a solution to that" chimed in Lo.
"I brought many herbs and other things with me. I have a powder here that could possibly hide us. I am not fully confident that it will work with no problems but we must believe."
"Ok Lo hand it out to the rest. With luck, the wolves will not notice us."
The group quickly applied the strange powder over themselves and threw their mounts on the ground to keep them quiet. Then they hid with their mounts and put as much greenery between them and the road.
The wolves footsteps could be heard. A loud howl was issued. One of Jags men could hear sniffing coming from behind the tree where he was hiding.
Minutes past. It was all silent except for some birds. It seemed that wolves had passed.
One of the guards whispered to his mate "I think they left u....ARRGHHH!!"
The man was dragged out from where he was hiding. You could hear his blood-curdling screams somewhere in the forest. The guard who was next to him was also screaming as his skin started to roast after being electrocuted.
Kane listened to the scene. He was annoyed with the guards. Even with silence, it's still possible to wolves were nearby. The wolves could easily have been waiting to see if anything was nearby. The guard's words alerted them. Hopefully, the rest of Jags men would not make the same mistake. Or it would be all of them who died.
