Chapter 100!?!?!?!?? LETS GO!!!!

(Wow what can't believe we made it! This should have happened ages ago but as we all know I took a long break. Still sorry guys about that. Thanks for the continuous support though, love ya'll :)

Arrows whizzed passed Kane's face, screams of anguish permeated the air, and blood spilled adding color to the otherwise dark night.

"It's chaos! What's going on here? Where is my sister?!" Akak was frantically searching through bodies to see any sign of his sister. Two shadowy figures came running toward him, Kane saw the glint of swords over their heads. Kane had no reason to worry though as Akak had picked up a sword from a fallen mercenary and threw it at one of the knights. It was perfectly aimed and went right through the slim opening between the helmet and chest plate. Before the other knight could react Akak dashed toward him and tackled him to the grow.

"Who are you? Answer me before I slash your throat open and feed the earth your blood!"

Kane watched as the usual calm and wise warrior turned into an animal with eyes of death. His sister really was important. He decided to step in to hurry things up.

"Just kill him. I know who these people are and they mean no direct harm to your sister," said Kane calmly.

"What? Who are they?!"

"It seems the war has come here."

"You mean these are soldiers from the White Sparrow Kingdom! Why here? This should have been far from the frontlines."

"I do not know but for now let's go find you sister," said Kane while dodging another barrage of arrows.

Akak nodded while unsheathing his blade from a Sparrow knight's neck.

Both men navigated the chaos looking everywhere for Asice and the rest. Bodies were falling more and more and Akak was getting increasingly worried. Kane decided to lead Akak toward their residence to see if they made it back.

"Asice!?" Akak yelled as he violently pushed open the door toward their living quarters. Kane followed in after the man.

"Brother?" Asice appeared from one of the rooms followed by Samuel and the rest.

With a face full of relief Akak went to hug his sister.

"Is everyone alright?" asked Kane.

"Yes, we made it out of the massacre. Never would I have thought the war would find its way here and find it so soon," said Samuel.

"Yeah and it seems we are on the losing side, at least for this battle," said Helen.

"I don't think the war is here yet as this seems like a small strike force that came here for a specific reason," said Kane.

"Why here? What can that fat swine of a noble offer?" asked Ida.

"Something worthy of being guarded by a battle master," said Samuel.

Akak got up from his hug and nodded, agreeing with Samuel's statement.

"It is rather strange but maybe that's why they hired us," said Helen while gathering their supplies with Ida.

"Were there any other survivors?" asked Samuel.

"I am unsure many bodies decorated the grounds," responded Akak.

"Hopefully they included that fool Gunthar," commented Ida.

Helen let loose a light smirk at her friend's comment.

"Whatever has happened we must decide on a course of action," said Samuel. The others nodded when he said this.

"Why don't we head to the manor? After all, we still have a duty to fulfill," said Kane.

"He is right and we may also be able to regroup with others. Let's go" said Samuel.

The group of six went toward the back of the building that they were in. It had a door and they used it to escape the vicinity. As they ran toward the manor the screams of battle started to die down. Many lives had clearly been put out as if they were common campfires.

Soon the group managed to arrive at the large manor. The spotlight of the estate, the manor was usually very beautiful and calm but not several barricades had been put in place and corpses were splayed all over the place. A group of guards could be seen fighting off several Sparrow Knights.

Kane sped up towards the action and unhooked one of his daggers. The others surprised at his eagerness quickly gathered themselves and headed after him with their own weapons unsheathed.

Kane ducked under a knight's swing and then launched himself up as if he was a spring that had just been pushed down. His movement was fast and before the knight could counter Kane's dagger found its way in between the armor and into the throat. One other knight nearby who had just finished killing a guard went to stab Kane's behind but Akak was ready to aid Kane and rammed into the knight knocking him onto the ground. Samuel followed behind and rammed his sword into an opening in the fallen knight's armor.

"So some of you sellswords were worth the coin," said Captain Jervis who was currently locking blades with a knight.

"Seems we made it just in time," said Samuel.

"It seems so. I was wondering if any of you survived that initial attack."

"Luckily we made it out but it seems this is a rather large force."

"Yeah, we have set up defenses but they probably won't hold for long. We need to finish up with these soldiers then we can head inside the manor."

"Don't worry it seems they know when their beat" commented Kane who had just finished impaling a knight and was watching the three survivors retreat into the darkness.

The rest of the group finally eased up. It seems this attack was far larger than expected. It had also taken a heavy toll on the estate's guardsmen as only eight remained outside including Captain Jervis.

"Ok, we managed for now but follow me into the manor. We will defend from there," said Jervis.

The group was about to follow him when the main door to the manor blasted open and a person was sent flying outside. The group quickly oriented itself and prepared for another scrap.

"It's the battle master!" exclaimed Helen.

The group saw the knight who had been protecting the lord during the speech. He slowly walked out, spear in hand and bearing down on the body that had been sent flying.

"It seems he has killed the leader of this attack. Great! This battle can finally be over," said Jervis with an exasperated look adorned on his face.

"Finally we can get a..."

"It seems you are as troublesome as always!"

Kane and the others looked behind to see a man walking up in silver armor with a white cloak and holding a battle axe that seemed to be surrounded by lightning.

"Well things are going to get interesting," said Jervis.

"A battle between battle masters! How exciting!" said Ida.

"And dangerous. What should we do?" said Samuel.

"Sir Kezal will deal with that General. We need to secure the manor. The lord luckily left for his trip but his home is important and must be protected. You sellswords will split up and defend the other entrances! Let's go!" Jervis gave commands while the two battle masters clashed in the background. The energy seemed to be affecting the guards as they looked to be in pain. These masters were indeed powerful.

Kane went with everyone else but was still unsure what he should do next. He wanted to improve his relations with the estate but going against the White Sparrow Kingdom may be troublesome. For now, he will focus on securing the manor and decide later.
