“I care about him so much—but I don’t want to be burned.” Colin unconsciously lifted his hand to brush his scarred cheek.

“Take the mating knot and bite, and you’ll never be lonely again. You’ll have a pack. If someone challenges Marc, they’ll stand behind you. Anton and Philippe will make sure you remain untouched,” Sean said. Ian nodded his head.

Colin glanced at him, then at Ian. “If Marc’s such a good Alpha, why would any other wolf challenge him?”

“Because if word gets out that Marc had a hard time obtaining his mate’s love, and word would get out because he didn’t hide your existence, there would be challenges. He is proud of you and showed you off to the other wolves at the club.” Sean said bluntly.

“There were other wolves at the club?” Colin cursed his ignorance.
