On Monday nights, his housekeeper is off and Marc doesn’t like casseroles. He orders Chinese and gets a musical voice on the line that calls to him. To his delight and surprise, the guy on the phone delivers his food and is his destined mate. “The Pack Alphas get a larger stipend than their pack as befitting their position for much the same reasons. The Alphas and Garou Industries support the Betas and Enforcers with a salary in addition to their stipend, this way we compensate the Betas for living away from their home pack.” Marc gave Colin a hug. “It’s good you want to know more about pack life.”


“Some Betas are heterosexual, but most are gay,” Armand said. “When they mate, they can choose to stay with their Alpha like my Martin did, or go home and become a pack Beta and live an ordinary life among the pack.” He took a brandy snifter from the bar and filled his glass.
