Alpha Marc Thierry was used to the North Woods of Minnesota, so his elevation to third on the loup garou council necessitated a move to a Gramacy section of New York City. On Monday nights, his housekeeper is off and Marc doesn’t like casseroles. He orders Chinese and gets a musical voice on the line that calls to him. To his delight and surprise, the guy on the phone delivers his food and is his destined mate. Unfortunately for Marc, Colin Callahan thinks the only reason Marc could want him is biological -- he has to like his mate. Colin has a scarred face and thinks no-one could love him as he is. Can Marc convince him otherwise?

Scarred Mate

The front of the plane had a galley with a microwave, tea kettle, coffee pot and a bathroom. The Betas sat around the galley. In the back of the plane, there was a separate area for the Enforcers, six of whom traveled with the party.


The large jet held forty with seats that became flat beds. Ian and Rémy sat opposite Marc and Colin with Armand and Sean on their right side. There was another cluster of seats where Martin and his mate, Edward Keller, spoke quietly. They were near Dr. Artis, who napped in a recliner opposite the bar. At the bar, Marc and Rémy’s four Betas drank scotch, relaxing their customary vigilance. The Enforcers sat in the back of the plane that the Alphas designed to be configured somewhat like first class on a commercial jet.


Earlier Edward gave Colin and Marc the papers he drew up for him and Marc to sign transferring half of everything Marc owned to Colin and half of everything Colin possessed to Marc.
