“I guess I’ve met Dr. de Loria before.” Brian stared blankly past Harris to the doctor having an animated conversation with Bear. He will be forever Bear in my mind and heart now that I know.

Brian closed his eyes for a moment and then looked up at Dr. Harris.

“I’d say you knew Cisco long before I did,” Harris replied, looking out at Francisco from underneath his lashes.

“Not really, because I can’t remember ever meeting him before tonight,” Brian answered.

The lack of emotional response to the pictures worried Harris, both professionally and personally. Brian was in emotional lockdown and that was a difficult thing to overcome. He found himself liking Brian, concerned about his welfare, and he wanted to continue to work with him.
