It was just my luck that he’d turned out to be batting for his own team. Don’t get me wrong. I was beyond happy for them both, but I hated waiting for my Mr. Right to come along.
“What do you suggest then?” I mirrored his expression although I knew it didn’t look half as good as it did on him.
“An action, or maybe even a thriller?” Dale chuckled when he saw the horrified expression on Lee’s face.
“I could do with a good scare,” I agreed and Lee looked even more fearful.
“Perhaps I should go to bed after Love Actuallyand leave you two to scare each other shitless?” Lee suggested and gestured to us. “I’m not a thrill seeker like the two of you.”
“Says the man who brought a motorbike a few years ago because of some dare devil motorbike television show he once watched.” Dale laughed and again I had to cover my own amusement.
“Black Betty is the best bike I’ve ever had!” Lee insisted and Dale and I broke into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.
