“We should book a holiday,” Lee suggested out of the blue and I felt my heart skip a beat with excitement.

“Where would we go?” I asked.

“Anywhere we wanted.” Lee shrugged. “France, Spain, Italy. You name it.”

“I could definitely do with one, and I imagine you could too, Ree,” Dale pointed out. “After everything we’ve put your body through the last couple of years.”

“It really wasn’t that bad.” I shook my head and tried not to think of all the injections and tests, not to mention the raging hormones those things had caused.

“That’s it.” Lee grabbed his phone from his pocket. “I’m booking us a holiday.”

“I can’t just up and go!” I exclaimed. “I have work.”

“You let me worry about that.” Lee gave me a quick squeeze with the arm that was still wrapped around me. “You deserve some time off and a little de-stressing.”
