Two-fifteen in the afternoon? Did that mean he’d been passed out for almost twelve hours?
There was a knock at the door. And again. Alex grunted and rose slowly.
“I’m coming, I’m coming.”
The knocking continued until Alex snatched at the doorknob and wrenched the door open. The sight before him stole air from his lungs.
Ethan, wearing a T-shirt under a tight striped shirt with sleeves rolled to the elbows, stood there smiling widely. In his hand was a long-stemmed red rose.
“What the fuck?” Alex blushed. “Get in here, you moron.”
Ethan laughed softly.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, babe.” 3
Alex felt high as the heady-sweet scent of the fresh rose Ethan had so kindlythrust into his face wafted into his nostrils.
“Would you take this, Alex? Please?”
Alex could only laugh. The puppy dog eyes attacked again; there was nothing he could do but give in.
“Only one, Ethan?”
“In Taiwan, it means that you’re the only one for me.”
“You’re talking Taiwan now?”
