Chapter 21

“Sorry,” he chuckled. “I got carried away for a minute.”

They made it home unscathed, but due to the haste with which Aiden had to eat, they didn’t get to talk much then. Glen watched him run around the apartment after he finished eating, brushing his teeth, putting on a new shirt, wrapping up some leftovers to take to the theatre. All the while Glen couldn’t help but put his worries aside and giggle at how adorable his boyfriend was when flustered.

As Aiden was about to zip out the door, he quickly turned around, a look of concentration on his face as he fussed with his hair. “Okay, I’ve got my keys, got my food, made myself smell better, my laptop is still at the theatre…um…” He gave Glen a puzzled glance. “Am I forgetting anything?”

Glen got up and walked over to him. “A goodbye kiss?”

Aiden relaxed and smiled. “Of course. How could I forget?” He wrapped his arms around Glen’s neck and kissed him deeply, daintily lifting one foot in true romantic fashion.
