Trey nodded. The pain meds at the hospital had helped some, but he was both sore and exhausted by this point. He went up the steps and into the bedroom he shared with Landon. He noticed the gun safe was hanging open.


??After I heard the shots, I never came back up to shut it,?? said Landon. ??Not too bright I guess.??
