Chapter 32

From his expression, Paul was all business now. “How close?” he asked Leone, as he took a small listening device from his shirt pocket, putting it in his ear. “What channel?”

Leone told him, adding, “A block away and moving slowly. They may still not know which house but they will soon. They’re driving a police cruiser and are in uniform.” He held up his hand. “They’re stopped. Two men are getting out, going up to the two houses behind us.”

“We do, but not until things go down. No attack, no reason to arrest Angelo.”

“That just made my day. Not.” Mark snorted softly. “What now? They’re going to pull the cop routine here? Come knocking on our door?”
