Chapter 67

Vadim held up his glass. “To beginning a new partnership.”

Colin did the same. “And to ending an old debt.”

They both smiled and downed the liquor.

Sean watched them, his eyes dark with bitterness. Soon, Vadim would have to come crawling to him if the Russians wanted their precious piece of the docks.

Vadim slammed the glass down on the desk and smacked his lips. “Not vodka, but not bad. Now, I have business to attend to. Do you have a picture of this Danny Carmody you wish dealt with?”

Colin looked towards Sean. “Give him the photo.”

Sean nodded and pulled out the brown envelope and handed it to Vadim in silence.

The Russian passed it off to one of his bodyguards. Looking back at Colin, he said, “I will be in touch.” One of the guards moved out of the room. Vadim and the other man followed.

Colin looked at Sean. “Now we will see justice done.”

Sean stood rigid and looked his grandfather in the eye. “Yes, I believe we will.”
