I had scrawled special notes to myself to visit Bestion Manor and Country Duty. In the meantime, I unfolded other facts about the Colt millionaire. Myer had a chateau in Colorado, another ranch in Napa Valley, California, and sometimes visited his Aunt Bernice in New York City. Never did he put an hour in at Colt Branding as the company’s financing advisor or other attributing position. Rather, I constructed the young man as a playboy of sorts with loads of money, much spirit, and a life of little labor.
