“What I do know about you is obvious,” I said. “Your family owns one of the largest branding companies in Oklahoma and you have knowledge, skills, and tools, about freeze branding.”

He rolled his eyes, pursed his lips like a little boy, and said, “I know nothing about my father’s business. Everyone is aware of that. Anyone can tell you that I don’t have an interest in branding, cattle, and whatever else happens at Colt Branding.”

Myer didn’t argue my point that he had certain tools to commit a murder, though. Particularly the murder of someone he diddled. Such a fact motivated me to ask, “How many times a week did you see Evan Sting?”

He thought about my question for a few seconds and replied with, “Three or four. We messed around a lot.”

“What do you mean by messed around?”

The uppity brat leaned across the two-person table and said, “I played with his cock and he played with mine. It was a good time.”

“But you weren’t his boyfriend?”
