"Go away, Becca," she whispers, exhausted. "Leave me alone. You don't belong in this place and time. You're not part of my life anymore. I've abandoned you."

Rest is needed now because of the rehashed thoughts that have surfaced within the wrinkled edges of her adult mind. Julia closes her eyes, drifts away, smiles, sighs with a sense of contentment, and floods into her nap with such ease and a relentless commitment.
