Raima Reason was Contestant #2, and so would take the stage second, after Amber Alert, for every event. Each queen had been allotted a small conference room across the hall from the main event as a dressing room, and would enter the room opposite the stage, passing the tables of spectators on her way to and from the stage. Waiting her turn in the hall surrounded by her sexy backup dancers, Raima didn’t see Amber’s talent presentation, but she could hear the thump thump thump of a run-of-the-mill YouTube dance remix, and would have wagered that Amber was standing still with her mouth frozen in a non-singing grimace expecting to be showered with adoration for her twenty-six inch-waist.
