Kaya answered the door when he arrived. She grinned and suppressed a laugh. “Hey Flu—Flynn. Tanya said you were visiting today. Come on in.”
“Thanks.” Flynn put on a casual smile, but secretly he was anxious to find out what had happened after he left the hospital. Kaya only said that Tanya talked about him every once in a while, but nothing suggested that she knew anything more about them than that they were just friends.
Tanya was propped up in bed by enough pillows to create another mattress. Her face lit up when she saw him. “Hi! So glad you could come!”
“I’ll leave you two alone,” Kaya said, continuing to hide her amusement. She closed the door behind her, which was a relief and yet concerning.
Once the door was shut, Tanya exhaled in embarrassment. “They told me about what happened in the hospital.”
“About the kiss or about you whispering in my ear that you were going to do all sorts of things to me once you got me home?”
