Chapter 15

Things clattered around in the back of the U-Haul. The clanking was loud. Metal sounded as if it was being grinded. I thought about not asking a question about the noise, but decided to anyway

Zombie said that he had tools that he carried around with him in the back of the U-Haul, just in case he needed to use them. The contents consisted of shovels, picks, gloves, two bars to pry up loose rocks, a post digger, a few flashlights, and other tools of his trade.

“How far until we reach the garage?” I asked.

“Not-t-t f-f-far.”

I took that as less than a mile, or a little over a mile, but nothing more, and sat patiently in the passenger-seat, planning to murder him with my Swiss Army knife. 23: Blue Hills Cemetery
