“I like that idea.” She took another drink and looked back at me. “So, umm…tell me something about yourself. Anything,” she said as she took another sharp inhale. I could tell she was struggling to maintain focus with the way her pupils had already dilated.
“Well,” I said dramatically. “I am probably the most boring person you could have gotten stuck beside.” I grinned, laughing a little when she arched her brow. It was true, sadly. The majority of my friends even called me a bore since I wasn’t fond of partying. For them a typical Friday night consisted of getting drunk, finding their catch of the week, and waking up the next morning with someone they couldn’t even remember from the previous evening. I never wanted to be like that.
“Boring,” she said with a shaky laugh. “I find that hard to believe. You seem adventurous to me.”
