Chapter 11

“Then I’ll leave! I’ll fucking leave!”

At that moment the room seemed to spin around him and he collapsed onto the floor.

His anger had not dissipated when he came around, especially when he looked down to see ten pairs of eyes staring back at him. His own eyes widened in terror. His jaw fell open. He scrambled to his feet and ran into the kitchen where Raum was preparing a small snack of pee and ham soup.

“What is this?” Charam snapped.

Raum looked up from the pot that was simmering over the fire.

“And good morning to you, too,” he said before his attention returned to his soup.

“Well?” Charam went and stood beside Raum, hand on hip and snarl decorating the corner of one lip.

“Just a little reminder.”

“Of what?”

“That I’m always watching you. That you can’t hide anything from me. And also that when you promise me something and you break that promise, I won’t be very happy.”
