“That was brutal.” I could barely keep my eyes open, and my legs felt like rubber.

Malaki took the handlebars and got on front. “Come on, we’re almost there.”

I must have really been tired to let her take control. I got on back and leaned against her with my eyes closed.

My tablet beeped from my backpack and I groaned. At the other end of the tunnel, I pulled it out of my seat compartment as Mal wheeled the bike through the factory.

“Sol says he saw us on the cameras, and to get some rest and give him details about the delivery later today.”

“Okay.”

We reached another door and I allowed my right eye to be scanned. My feet dragged as we climbed floor after floor, and finally we reached the parking lot.

“I’ll take you home, and then I’ll get out of here.” My heart sank at the journey still ahead of me.

“Oh, come on, Ser. Get on the back.”
