“Katie, meet Lynn. Lynn this is my boss and best friend, Katie,” she grinned. “Well, sometimes she is my best friend and then other times she can drive me crazy.”


Lynn laughed as she stepped in front of Katie and held out her hand. “It’s nice to meet you, Katie.” A realization suddenly hit her. The day at the ice cream parlor, the woman who was so sick in the ladies room. Katie’s frightened eyes pleaded with Lynn and she knew she too remembered that day.


“You too,” Katie smiled. The moment her hand touched Lynn’s, she pulled quickly away as if a jolt of electricity had hit her.


Alexis was too busy gazing at Lynn to notice. “Do you want something to drink?”


“Whatever you have is fine.” Lynn smiled and planted a quick kiss on Alexis’s lips. After pining over a woman she had never even kissed for two months straight, she could not seem to get enough of her delicious kisses.


Katie forced a smile once Alexis was gone and she looked at Lynn. “Thanks, for not saying anything.”
