“So what you’re saying is that maybe the man who sent Lynn the note and…and attacked me isn’t the same guy we’ve been after?” Katie scrunched up her nose and shook her head. “It makes no sense. Why would someone single the two of us out?”
“That does seem strange. I mean we had never even met until the night before last,” Lynn added as she glanced at Katie. Cold chills shot over her body when her eyes caught sight of the scar on Katie’s forehead.
“True,” Alexis sighed. “I just don’t understand it though. I mean he…” Alexis’s words were interrupted by ring tone of her cell. She blushed when Lynn flashed a longing gaze at the sound of one of her biggest hits being played over the tiny speaker. “How do you like my ring tone,” she asked with a slight laugh as she answered.
“Nice,” Lynn replied with a grin.
Katie laughed and rolled her eyes. “I’ve had to listen to that ring tone for the past two months.”
