Chapter 69

“Yep, and I was pretty damn good at it. Close your eyes.” Katie washed off the caked makeup Lynn had piled on. “You’re using the wrong colors. When you try to cover a blue bruise with yellow concealer all it does is turn green. What you need is salmon. It’s more natural and it does a much better job covering up bruises.”

“So, you went from being a beauty shop girl to being the head of the Special Victims Unit?” Lynn grinned, keeping her eyes closed as Katie worked on making her presentable.

“I sure did. I was also a waitress and I worked weekends at the library with book keeping.” Katie dabbed the concealer over Lynn’s cheeks, gently rubbing the creamy liquid into her skin.

“What about a social life?”

“I never had one. I didn’t even date when I was in college.” Katie applied a green shade of eye shadow, along with a jet black eye liner, and dark mascara to Lynn’s eyes. She finished off her masterpiece with a pale pink lip gloss. “Open your eyes, sis.”
