Chapter 12

“Would you like to go out sometime? Maybe grab a coffee or something?” Brett’s heart dropped as Aaron pulled away and sat back against the couch. “Shit, I’m sorry. You have a partner, don’t you? “You’re cute when you ramble,” Aaron chuckled. “You think I’m hot, huh?”

“Maybe.”

“Brett, I think you’re hot, too. And amazing. And, no, I don’t have a partner or boyfriend. But I don’t date clients.”

Brett’s heart, which had begun to rise at Aaron’s praise, sank once again. “Okay, I totally respect that…but, what if I wasn’t a client?”

“I like you,” Aaron leaned over and squeezed Brett’s hand again. “And, I definitely felt a connection of some kind, but you’re still flying a bit from our session. You may be just feeling the endorphins.”

“I don’t think so.”
