Awakening

He no longer worried about his ability to fulfill his spousal obligations on the special night. In fact, if the plan he and Nathaniel had concocted was to go forth, it would be imperative that he not perform. How ironic, he mused. For weeks he had panicked at the thought of that particular night, and not being able to fulfill his husbandly duty. Now he did not want to consummate the marriage. His only worry was hurting Rebecca, of whom he had come to be quite fond.
