“Geez, I expected a reaction, but not this reaction.”


“I’m just pissed because you beat me to the punch. Remember I told you that I had an appointment with Randolph this afternoon?”


“Yes, and I assumed it had to do with the foundation.”


“Never assume. You do know what happens when you do, right?”


“I know, it makes an ass out of you and me.”


“Just so. I met with Randolph a little while ago in order to execute these documents.” He handed me an envelope.


I took the envelope, opened it, and scanned the paperwork inside. “This assigns me a half interest in the Pisgah Holding Company, LLC. What’s that?”


“Remember I told you that the Keep isn’t in my name but is registered to a holding company that can’t be traced back to me in any way, shape, or form?”
