“I have to sign up with an artist management company in the UK, but that’s no big deal as long as it doesn’t restrict my activities in the States.”
“How long do you have to make up your mind?” Noah said.
“They’d like an answer by the end of summer, but it doesn’t seem to be an absolute deadline. And they’ve attached a PDF file containing a sample contract.”
“There are two lawyers in the room,” William said. “Why don’t you print it out and let us have a look at it?”
“Do you mind?”
“Not at all.”
“How do I send the file to your printer?”
“It’s set up as a network printer,” William said. “Let me see the laptop for a minute.” He took the laptop and began to work with it until a LaserJet on the credenza behind the desk hummed to life and began to print.
When the printer stopped, William removed the pages, glanced quickly at them, then handed documents to Henry, Tom, and Noah.
“I printed four sets of the contract,” he said.
