They packed the car Saturday afternoon and were on the road to the mountains as soon as the service was over on Sunday. They’d arranged for the builder to give a set of keys to Joe and Donny, who in turn had met the delivery truck from the furniture company and told the driver and his helper where to place the furniture—they’d selected and ordered furniture when they’d flown to Asheville to close the loan. They made good time, arriving at their new retreat while there was still plenty of light.
