Chapter 78

“Will it bother you folks if we start real early in the morning?” Joe said.

“Not at all. You can begin work at daybreak as far as we’re concerned.”

Donny and Joe left, and Tom and Noah continued walking around the grounds.

“This place is going to look so great next spring when things begin to bloom,” Noah said.

“No kidding.”

They were on their way to Asheville shortly after lunch the next day, their two young workers having finished the landscaping project and been paid. Donny and Joe had also made a commitment for the following week to work on landscaping and shrubs along the road and by the entrance gate. When they arrived at All Souls’ Cathedral, Tom took Noah and the others with him to meet with Ramsey, whom they found in the choir room.

“Hello, Ramsey,” he said, as he walked through the door.

“Tom, Noah,” Ramsey said, “good to see you. Did you bring me a couple of recruits?”
