Chapter 101

“Tom,” Marco said, “if you’ll excuse us, I think Dani and I will take William and Henry with us and leave you guys to the job at hand.”

“That’s fine,” Tom said. “I think we can find our way back to the castle—and there’s always the cell phone.”

“Yeah,” Noah said, “he’s practically salivating at the thought of playing this thing.”

“You guys are welcome to stay and listen,” Tom said, “although you might find it a bit boring after a while.”

“Are you going to do a dress rehearsal?” Marco said.

“Friday morning, most likely.”

“We’ll come and sit in on that, if we may.”

“Sure.”

“How long do you think you’ll be here this afternoon?”

“This is just a ‘get acquainted’ session, and I’m kind of tired, so not more than a couple of hours.”

“Then why don’t we come and collect you guys in a couple of hours? We’ll have dinner someplace and call it a night.”

“Works for me. See you in two hours, then.”
