“Is Roger coming?” Philip said.
“No, Sir. His paternal grandparents are in town, and he has to go out to dinner with his family.”
When we were back in the car and on our way, Julien said, “The gang?”
“Four friends of ours,” Philip said. “Actually two couples. Richard, who has been Charles’ best friend since junior high school, owns and runs one of the largest detective agencies in the area. His partner, Bruce, is in charge of the computer networks for the local district attorney’s office, and John and Joe are both registered nurses.”
“They come over almost every Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, depending on their schedules,” I said. “They usually bring pizza, and we all use the pool and Jacuzzi.”
“I don’t have a suit,” Julien said.
“No problem,” I said. “We don’t use them.”
“So, Julien,” Philip said, “are you man enough to get naked with six gay men and a gay teenager?”
“How could I resist a challenge like that?” Julien said, and smiled.
