Chapter 34

When we were back in our kitchen, having a Coke, Norman said, “It says here that we’re all free next Saturday evening.”

“Then Saturday evening it is. Why don’t we order lasagna and garlic bread from Pizza Italian, and you can go pick it up? That way, nobody will have to spend a lot of time cooking.”

“Sounds good.”

“Tell you what,” I said. “When Zeke calls to tell me he’s on the way home, I’ll ask him to stop by the restaurant and pick up our order. Then I’ll call it in, and by the time he gets to Five Points, it’ll be ready.”

“Meanwhile, we can be getting things ready at this end,” Norm said.

“What’s this?” Zeke said.
