“Know where the Cascades Apartments are located?”
“Sure,” Brody said.
He got into his truck, started it, and followed Sheldon out of the parking lot. On the way to Sheldon’s apartment, Brody called his grandfather and told him not to expect him for a couple of hours.
“Don’t worry about it, lad. This is your home, and you can come and go as you please.”
“Thanks, Pop. See you later. Probably before lunch.”
The Cascades was a large complex on the eastern edge of the city, and Brody followed Sheldon’s directions and pulled into a visitor’s slot.
“Come on,” Sheldon said. “I’m on the third floor at the end of this building.”
Sheldon unlocked the door, and Brody stepped into a nice-looking living area. He was about to comment on the decor when Sheldon grabbed his hand. “We can do the tour later. Right now, we have more important things to take care of.”
