“Never too weary for that.”
“Good answer. Let’s go to bed.”

CHRIS WAS AWAKE well before six the next morning, and since he didn’t have to go to work, he slipped out of bed long enough to lock the bedroom door. Then he crawled back in bed with Mickey and proceeded to wake him up in the most pleasant way possible.
Later, as they showered together, Mickey said, “That was a nice wake-up call.”
“You’re welcome. I’m getting back into the swing of getting up in time for a seven-to-three shift.”
“We all need more good habits.”
“Yeah. I guess I’d better get dressed and fix Ted’s breakfast.”
“He can fix his own, can’t he?”
“True, but I look at breakfast as bonding time.”
“I can’t argue with that,” Mickey said. “By the way, don’t forget that he had another nightmare last night.”
“Yeah, and I’m going to call Dr. Albritton today and talk to him about Ted’s problems.”
Mickey turned the water off, and they stepped out of the shower to towel themselves dry.
