Logan waved rather sadly the way I had, and

then he nodded to the opening at the top of the cage. Sam didn’t

seem to notice, so Logan pointed to the opening, and then he

covered his eyes, much the way a child might do when playing

Peek-a-boo, and motioned for Sam to do the same. It was the only

way he could think of to tell Sam not to watch.

It took Sam a moment to realize what Logan

was trying to say, and then I could see a look of horror cover his

face as well. He turned to Derek and Wyn and seemed to be yelling

something while he kept turning and pointing to the tank. I thought

he mouthed the words, “Help them.”
