“More like a dolphin thing,” Mark said. “Like
my side of the family. Your mother’s side.”
“Okay, so you’re saying that because I’m a
dolphin that I’m attracted to sharks?” Sam asked.
“Well, your mother was attracted to me,”
Robert began. “And God knows I was attracted to her.”
“Okay, don’t elaborate on that, Dad,” Logan
said, putting a hand out to his father.
“What your father thinks, Sam, is that your
dolphin heritage is why you want to be with two guys,” Mark
explained.
“Okay, I’m not sure this is exactly
flattering,” Sam said.
“Sometimes dolphins like multiples,” Robert
began. “It’s okay. I still love you.”
“Wait,” Wyn said. “So Sam is a dolphin?”
“Mom is going to be so pissed,” Derek
said.
Sam turned to Derek and asked, “Your mother
doesn’t like dolphins?”
“It’s not that,” Wyn said, moving so that he
was next to Derek and also facing Sam. “It’s just that in regard to
some things, she’s just old fashioned.”
