Chapter 36

“Exactly.”

“It shouldn’t be difficult to acquire one and use it for our own purposes. We had a conversation about Spoleto, and I want to hear your ideas.”

“First, let me ask you a question. Somewhere within the family businesses we surely have computer professionals, don’t we?”

“In many companies, in many places.”

“Ask your computer people to recommend a good software package for mapping. The person using it should be able to sit at a computer and flag every location in which he has resided over the years. If you, and as many of the older members of the family as possible, were to use such software and produce individual maps, the maps could ultimately be overlaid on each other. An individual map would indicate only a list of places, whereas a combined map might well reveal that several family members have been in a particular place at different times. Are you following me?”
