Chapter 47

“Andreas told me you had a good-looking boyfriend,” Nick said, “but he didn’t tell me he was such a hunk.”

“Thank you,” Dani said.

“How’s the patient doing?” I said.

“Physically, he’s okay, but he’s not happy just sitting around. Follow me.”

He led us to a great room that had a wall of windows on one side. Andreas was sitting in a comfortable chair near a huge fireplace, his bad leg resting on an ottoman.

“Look who’s here,” Nick said as we walked into the room.

Andreas looked in our direction and did a sort of double take. “Marco, Dani, this is a surprise. What are you doing here?”

“I decided to check up on my favorite patient, and here we are. How are you doing?”

“I’m fine. Tired of sitting around, but fine.”

“Any pain?”

“An occasional twinge. Panadol takes care of it just fine. Have a seat, both of you. Can you stay to lunch?”

“Oh yes,” Nick said. “Please stay for lunch. I’ll make you the best Greek food you’ve ever tasted.”
