Chapter 108

“Decisions?”

“How much of this, if anything, do we tell Angelina? She’s hoping that I will find some medical answers to her problem; as you might imagine, she considers herself to be something of a freak, and wants desperately to be normal. Along those same lines, if you tell her anything, how do we get past the fact that I’m violating patient confidentiality by telling you any of this?”

“Let me think about that. I told you that I hope to marry her, yes?”

“Yes, you did, and she knows it.”

“She does?”

“She wanted to know how I would feel if that happened.”

“And?”

“I told her simply that you weren’t bothered by the fact that I’ve lived with Dani all these years, so why should I take issue with your personal life. She was pleased when I said that. And I’m digging myself in deeper here. I shouldn’t be talking about any of this.”

“This, my boy, is one of those times when the ‘greater good’ comes into play.”

“Yeah, I thought about that.”
