Chapter 16

“Looking for anything in particular?” the pilot said. “I mean, how low do we need to fly?”

“Can we do a quick flyover of the area first?” Quentin said. “What we see then will tell us how low we need to go.”

“My time’s your time,” the pilot said. “Let’s get on board, and get you gentlemen strapped in.”

In what seemed like no time, Quentin and Nate were strapped into their seats and wearing headphones, so they could communicate with the pilot. Quentin was in the left seat, next to the pilot, and Nate was on the right-hand side of the chopper immediately behind the pilot.

{This is going to be a noisy flight, Nate, but I don’t think the noise will interfere with our special brand of communication.}

{I think you’re right.}

{When we get to the spot, I want to go into rapport and see if we can pick up anything.}

{Gotcha.}

{Great. For now, relax, and enjoy the experience.}

The pilot said something to the control tower, and a minute later, they were airborne.
