“Be careful getting out of that thing, Mr. Wilson, it can be slippery,” Quentin said.

“I’m holding onto the side of it,” Mr. Wilson said. He stepped out of the tub, retrieved his towel, and began to use it. “I think I’ll be able to sleep after that.”

“It always works for us,” Nate said.

“Please don’t tell your grandmother about this, Nate—she wouldn’t let me try the Jacuzzi at the spa.”

“My lips are sealed,” Quentin said.

“Ditto,” Nate said.

He and Quentin said good night to Mr. Wilson, and returned to their bedroom.

Jacksonville, FLWednesday morning

QUENTIN AND NATE came downstairs together Wednesday morning, and found breakfast already laid out on the kitchen table.

“Glad to see you boys up early this morning,” Mrs. Wilson said.

“Hi, Grandma,” Nate said. “Thanks for cooking breakfast again.”

“Yeah, I could get used to this,” Quentin said.

“What will you boys be up to today?” Mr. Wilson said.
