Chapter 14

“You found me,” he said.

“Hard not to, with such good instructions.”

“Yeah. Give me one of those bags.”

I handed him my overnight bag and followed him into the house, carrying my briefcase and laptop. He led me upstairs to a large bedroom, placed my bag in one corner, and said, “Sex now, tour later.”

“Works for me.”

We did a quickie, after which we pulled on shorts and tees. Then he led me on a whirlwind tour of the house, which ended in a really nice den on the second floor.

“This is a great house,” I said.

“Yeah. I bought it last year—it’s the fourth house I’ve purchased in the past ten years.”

“Why so many?”

“Ten years ago, while I was still in college, I bought a small house and fixed it up. A couple of years later, I rented it out and bought another house and fixed it up. A couple of years later, I rented it and bought another house. And so it goes.”

“Which means you’re going to rent this one in a year or so, right?”
