Chapter 21

Quinn touched my arm to calm me down. “Your night manager made it and your chef compounded it. I suggest you deal with your colleagues.”

“Yeah, what he said.”

“Mark.”

“Why do you keep calling him Mark? I thought his name is Joseph.”

Quinn gave him a bored look. “He uses his middle name.”

“Yeah,” I agreed, biting the inside of my cheek. God, Quinn was clever. Well, I wouldn’t have been intrigued by him back in the beginning if he hadn’t been. “I use my middle name.”

“You’re hot when you’re annoyed.”

“Seriously?”

I ran a hand up his arm. “Seriously.”

“Mmm.” Quinn leaned toward me and raised his mouth to mine.

I was just going brush my lips over his. Just a simple kiss.
