Chapter 55

I was lucky at our table; Robyn had helped set up and so our table was by the door (oxygen, quick getaway) and I was able to sit with my back to the wall. I thought I always chose that kind of seat because I felt ‘safer’ that way with nobody staring over my shoulder, but what it does is eliminate about half of the noise/visual stimulation that comes at me. I don’t get overwhelmed so quickly. The food was great; usually I can’t eat what is served due to food allergies, but this was superb, tender prime rib. I won’t mention the (nasty) pumpkin cheesecake for dessert because I ate so much of the Bad Red Meat that I love that I really didn’t care.
