Scene 3: Either last night or tonight, we had the Passenger Talent Show. One old lady told very old stale burlesque house jokes. Two old men sang, beautifully. One little girl sang “I’m a Rock Star” with her dad on guitar. Riotous applause. Two other little girls did a hastily thrown together tumbling routine. One of them also played the piano, though not as well as she had before when practicing. She was only ten. The entire audience roared and whistled for everyone. Especially for the kids. Oh yeah, and one young man did a Michael Jackson imitation. Pretty good!
Aug 16: Who, Me? Let me explain why I mention that I’m a member of Mensa. Why does it matter? Am I bragging? When I was a kid, my father always introduced my sister and me as “This is Judy, she’s the smart one” and myself as “This is Carol, she’s the thoughtful one”. How it hurt us both.
